Daylight Saving Party

Daylight Saving Party did not respond to our survey. Instead, they wrote the following:

The Daylight Saving Party has a policy position on a single issue: facilitating the adoption of Daylight Saving Time in WA. For that reason, we have not responded to your survey by completing the check-boxes. We believe that the fact that we are not bound by party policies means our candidates are well placed to directly represent the interests of the constituent’s in their particular region. Broadly, we believe in directly consulting, advocating for, and representing constituents in order to pursue policies for gains to quality of life and lifestyle.

The Party would be pleased to consult with your group in the case that we are successful in having a candidate elected. Personally and broadly, I come from a Catholic upbringing and have a human rights background, so support a rights based approach to the issues raised in the Family Voice survey.

The Party is fielding candidates in all of the Legislative Council regions in WA. Your support in the March 11 election will help us achieve a position of influence from which we can advocate for your members.

Flux

Flux did not respond to our survey. Instead, they wrote the following:

Thank you for reaching out to us. To sum up what Flux is and how it works, please have a look at this 2 minute video that gives a good explanation of Flux and how we intend to revolutionise democracy in Australia.

In summary, Flux is an application used on your smart phone that gives everyone a vote on every issue before parliament. A Flux Senator votes on the bills based on the majority of the people within his constituent. There is a vote trading function in the app that ensures that people who care the most, or who the bill affects the most, will have the most power in that decision allowing small groups of people to have their voice heard.

As a party we have no official stance on issues and our only function is to enact the people's will through our secure, revolutionary platform. It is therefore constitutionally impossible for us to answer your questionaire.

However, for the WA elections, our Steering Committee has made a once off commitment to work with not-for-profit organisations, like yours, to help table legislation that is in line with your constitution, should you as an organisation formally support us in our bid for an upper house seat. If this is something that you might be interested in, please let me know and we can discuss further.

I hope I have answered your question but if not please feel free to ask more questions as I am more than happy to talk to you about how you can have your concerns addressed by Flux.
